Strafing Ocean Park...

Dateline: Saturday mid morning, June 25, 2016... we drove straight to the parking lot adjacent to SMS Towers #26 and 27, parked, and headed out to the berm to check out the surf!... and it was still holding with set waves in the neighborhood of 3 - 6 feet!...

Below, that looks like OL Cooper Moeshler (sp?) on patrol near SMS Tower #27...

Walling up...

Scouting the waves and on one knee with this large straw hat on the berm just left of center in the photo below is none other than LACo Lifeguard Captain (Ret.), Angus Alexander...

Below, standing off a humongous rip current just to the south of SMS Tower #26 is OL Sebastian Wurvee... who, incidentally, was a City of San Clemente Ocean Lifeguard before joining up with LACoFD Lifeguard Operations...

..... and then we jumped into the ocean with our fins on... and swam out through one set and swam back in after another.....

and then we took the metro train to downtown Los Angeles... but that's another story... but the following photos does date stamp our arrival in DTLA!...
