Nationals!... It's On!...

Dateline: Wednesday, August 5, 2015,  Daytona Beach, Florida...

Nationals: It's On!

The LA County team has descended on Dayton Beach Fl for the 2015 Nautica USLA LIfeguard National Championships joining ocean lifeguard competitors from across the  country. Today the JGs got their race on and tomorrow the adults begin three days of competition. With air temps in the upper 80s and water temperature in the upper 70s - oh yea and like 60% humidity - the heat will be on. Literally. Some pics include the event signage, the 53' semi truck carry LACounty gear - including five Dorys and gear for Cal State competitors. The last pic is the weigh in of equipment by the "scrutineers" yep that's a real word to make sure they comply with USLA rules.

 

 

"County Recurrent" Editor's note:  "... and last but not least, that sure looks like Section Chief, Chris Linkletter (which we just confirmed), in the black two piece bathing suit at center, getting her surfski weighed in to make sure it is meets the USLA requirements!  This ain't her first rodeo!"
