I have been out at PDC-5 (House Tower) on Westward as the swell hammered the beaches Thursday and Friday.

I ran Zuma this a.m. and so surprised at the amount of sand that is gone due to the perfect storm of 6 ft High tide mid Day and Thursday/Friday overhead sets.

The wave at Westward is a "young man's" wave due to the powerful force and volume of water moving around.

Every afternoon I swim from PDC-5 to PDC-2 and run back. As a member of TEAM LACERA, I have the time and these big swell are infrequent.

I love the energy in the ocean on a big day. It's absolutely beautiful, the force, the lighting, the thunderous sound, the brave and the foolish enjoying Mother Ocean and her gifts.
