The buoy line just south of the Santa Monica Pier is brought to shore by a Baywatch rescue boat crew working in tandem with a team of lifeguards on the beach...
Later after returning from our swim at Tower #26, we encountered the veteran buoy line cleaning team referenced above...

This is apparently not a one day job...

It's not a four day job, however, because the recurrent buoy line cleaning team of Moeschler and Smith finished up yesterday... and were not on scene this morning.
