THE HEAVIER OUTRIGGERS WERE SPARED, AS THE BRUNT OF THE WINDS WERE RIGHT AT THE SHORELINE OR OVER THE WATER..
THE BIG OUTRIGGERS WERE UNTOUCHED.
SKI RACK RIPPED OUT OF THE SAND… THOSE ARE 4” BY 6‘ BEAMS… HEAVY…
AN ENTIRE RACK WAS RIPPED UP AND THROWN ONTO THE WALKWAY AND SNAPPED THIS STEEL RE-ENFORCED CONCRETE LAMP POST…
SNAPPED IT RIGHT AT THE BASE…SOME OF THE SKI’S WERE THROWN FAR DOWN THE CHANNEL…ONTO THE BOATS…

PILE OF SHREDDED SKI’S… MANY BROKEN IN HALF…
THESE RUN 3500 TO 5000 A PIECE…
BROKEN RACK AND MOST OF THE SKI’S RIPPED OUT… THE ONES THAT STAYED WERE FIRMLY ANCHORED.
WEIRDLY, THE LAZERS AND SABOTS THAT WERE AT THE BACK OF THE BEACH NEAR THE STREET WERE UNHARMED….
ENTRANCE TO THE LAUNCH RAMP… SQUASHED PRIUS….
ONE LESS PRIUS DRIVER… HAW HAW HAW !!!! :-)
A 21 FOOT SAILBOAT WAS THROWN OUT OF THE WATER ONTO THE DOCKS, HIGH AND DRY… FIVE OTHERS IN THE HARBOR CHANNEL WERE CAPSIZED … A LARGE 35 SAILBOAT ON THE EAST SIDE OF STERNS WHARF WAS BLOWN DOWN AND SANK… LATER RAISED AND BROUGHT TO SHORE….. THE WINDS WERE ESTIMATED GUSTING BETWEEN 75 AND 85 MPH… WITH HEAVY RAIN… IT WAS WILD…TREES DOWN ALL OVER SB… OTHER CARS AND TRUCKS SQUASHED… ALL FROM ONE CLOUD… NOW THINK ABOUT SOUTH FLORIDA… 175 MPH AND 15 FOOT STORM SURGE… ALMOST INCONCEIVABLE ….
