JG Pier Swim & Pier Jump!...

Dateline: Monday morning, August 15, 2016, Venice Beach, California... with the Venice and Will Rogers Junior Lifeguards who had a mix and mingle day together at Ave-26 where everybody swam around the Venice Pier... all the A's, B's and C's!...   Plus the A's jumped off the Pier after that!  OL JG Instructor, Steve Contarsy (aka, "Doctor!") invited us down to the beach to witness the fitness and to take photos and such...

We documented this day with our GoPro during the Pier Swim and then used our Nikon Coolpix digital camera to take photos from the top and end of the pier of the JG Jumpers!...

First up, we got a shot of JG Instructor, Steve Contarsy, at left below, with OL Kicker Vencil, who dropped by for an off duty workout after finishing up a shift at the Garden Grove Fire Dept. where he is a Paramedic-Firefighter.

With the pier swim set to begin in approximately 5 - 10 minutes, I grabbed my fins and my GoPro camera and set out for the south side of the pier.....

Back on shore, the JG instructors round all the kids up and the pier jump gets organized with some kids opting to watch from the end of the pier, some setting out on paddleboards to watch from the water below and the A's that are going to jump start walking toward the end of the pier...
