Strafing CSHQ and SMS...

Dateline: Thursday, May 5, 2016 around 10 a.m... Upon our arrival at CSHQ we noticed a whole bunch of SMFD vehicles adjacent thereto..... We then learn from an informed source that there is a major pow-wow going on in the squad room at CSHQ with LACoFD Lifeguard Staff meeting with SMFD personnel.  This meeting would last a couple hours... by our estimation.  Rumor has it that shared jurisdiction was declared over the original HOT DOG ON A STICK store along the Promenade adjacent to SMHQ (aka, CSHQ).  Bruno's was declared strictly a LACo Lifeguard venue... albeit shared with SMPD.  SMFD would retain exclusivity to Chez Jay (as has been the case since Don Spitler's retirement).  SMFD will put out fires and LACo will make rescues in the water.  Again, this is all just rumor and readers should take it as such.

and then we took a buoy swim off Tower #26 and then head back to CSHQ where we said goodbye to Ricardo at Tower #20 along the way and who was running the soft pack on his workout...
