JG Tryouts at Pali High: LACo Lifeguards In Action & Service

Dateline: Sunday, May 4, 2014.

May the Fourth Be With You and it was for a substantial number of kids trying out to become LACo Junior Lifeguards.  We stopped by and snapped a few photos of the action and the on duty LACo Ocean Lifeguards, OLS' staff and a couple of Captains and some enthusiastic volunteers.

... and the second reason you should buy this LACo JG hoodie is...

Dave Kastigar and Tom Fink emphasized that there were no good locations for our "County Recurrent" photography staff to take photos in Southern Section and said we would be better off not doing so...  hmmm...

USLA American Ironman/Retired LACo Firefighter and LACo OL, Mike Newman, stopped by to get a workout in at his alma mater and ended up shooting the breeze with Catalina Paddleboard Race Champion, Capt. Kyle Daniels...

It was great to see all the kids and parents in such good spirits and enthusiastic about Junior Lifeguards.  The staff on hand were very organized and polite.  The future is bright. Future lifeguards are being trained, that's for sure.
