"County Recurrent" heard Mammoth Mtn. (MM) was opening early on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009 with MM promoting a day of free skiing and snowboarding..... and well, we just had to cover this event. So we've in effect gone fishing, er, skiing, so y'all will just have to hold your breath waiting for Part 2 of the 1967 USA Lifeguard Tour of Australia till next week.
And we weren't alone. In fact, it was the Road Trip Of The Year for nearly every Southern Californian tween snowboarder and his and her friends. It was Madness ! It was Out of Control ! Just check out these photos !

"Hoffa Disappearance Solved?..." Just this morning on I 395 the County Recurrent news team suv passed a pickup truck towing a cement mixer and which had both a USLA and ZUMA sticker on the back window of its camper shell... We don't make this stuff up ! See for yourself below!

And after seeing Tom Doman and then skiing we figured we would check on Mammoth Local and Retired LACo Zuma S.O.L., Bill Powers, who is still on duty (see photo below) but he was somewhere else out and about in Mammoth, no doubt with his two Golden Retrievers.
