Dateline: Saturday morning, October 28, 2017... from SMS 28 to the Venice Pier along the shoreline and a return trip along the famed Venice Boardwalk... under overcast skies believe it or not!...
DaFin fins √ Wave Storm soft top √ Leash guard... (at SMS 29)
Dolphins at Navy St...
Westminster local below...
OLS John Newton, on duty, below at the Venice Breakwater...
Ave 19 guard just got on duty, below...
Above and below, OL Brandon Henry Snell setting up the flags at Ave 23...
and the Ave 19 guard is.... OL Charlie Patch, below...
#Beachtrash near the water's edge at Ave 21 uncollected by the L.A. County Dept. of Beaches & Harbors... because they do not have anyone actually walk along the shoreline every day to hand pick up #beachtrash and since the tractors are not permitted to operate near the water's edge, LACDBH often ignores #beachtrash near the water's edge... which continues to represent a threat to public health and safety...
Ave 26 locals leaving the beach after a morning surf, below...
Another surfer heading home on his bike at the Venice Pier, below...
Outside the famed COW'S END coffee house on Washington St near Pacific Ave., where I refueled with a Double French Roast and a croissant...
The Venice Boardwalk below at Muscle Beach...
The famed Rainbow tower at Brooks Ave. is open for business below...
Meanwhile, I noticed two lifeguard vehicles at the berm just south of Navy St. attending to what turned out to be a female surfer with an unknown injury...
Back to SMS below at Tower #28, which is also now open for business...
Not sure but I think that is OL Dave Walters sweeping the ramp...
And then I hit the road... but not before stopping for gas at the Chevron station on PCH at Santa Monica Canyon across the beach from Will Rogers State Beach and Tower #18... and who do I see parked there?... none other than Delilah (the 4wd Mitsubishi Delani) that we first were introduced to a week ago parked on Main St. in El Segundo across from TWO GUNS ESPRESSO...
I guess we now know that OL Jason Masho is working WR18 today.
10-4
Until next time.....
