Dateline: Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 4 pm to 6 pm..... I walked from the Santa Monica Pier to Rose Avenue along Venice North near the shoreline and took some photos of our lifeguards on duty... Enjoy!.....

OL Anto, below, at Navy St. in Venice.....
On my return toward the Santa Monica Pier, I stopped to say hi to OL Brandon Snell and took some more photos. Below is the tide board at Tower #20....
And now OL Morgan Wallace has charge of the area vehicle as the day winds down and towers are closing.....
Below, OL Brandon Snell holding his exceptionally good NIKON binoculars... so clear and full of magnification I could read the menu at Pacific Park... almost.....
I then asked Brandon if he had been busy with all the HUGE inshore holes along Santa Monica South and he told me that the previous day (Wed., April 5th) that he had EIGHT (8) rescues working out of Tower #20, with the rescues occurring in 3 different inshore holes: one to the south of Tower #20, one out front of Tower #20, and another close to where Tower #18 is positioned. Well done, Brandon!
Last but not least, CSHQ (aka, SMHQ) looking absolutely stunning in the late afternoon sunlight.....

Until next time.....
