Formerly known as the "Santa Monica Paddleboard Race & Ocean Festival"... enough said... Rebranded and ready for the 21st Century, there was a definite uptick in brands and sponsors on display on the Pier today, Sat., June 23, 2018...

The 1.2 Mile Swim just started a few minutes after 8 a.m.....

The latest in the Aussie invasion of restaurants in Santa Monica and Venice is Bluestone Lane on Wilshire at 7th St.... the young lad who owns the joint is NOT from Sydney!... He is from the coffee capital of down under in Melbourne and has the wonderfully thick and friendly accent and sense of humor to prove it!... Flat White √ Caramel pudding Croissant √ Mistaking a Melbourne accent for Sydney...

Question: When will Perry's stop using plastic straws? A leading cause of #plasticpollution, plastic straws end up in the ocean where sea life is threatened because of it. The time has come and gone for Perry's to do the right thing. Their cups, plastic lids, plastic straws and plastic water bottles end up on the beach and in the water and still Perry's buries it's head in the sand. We ask our readership to say something about this important issue if and when they make purchases at Perry's.
